Privacy Policy

This policy covers https://www.blueberryjunction.ca, the website of Blueberry Junction, a family blueberry farm at 28473 Huntingdon Rd Abbotsford, BC. We are a British Columbia business, so the personal information we handle is governed by British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

The short version: the only personal information we ask for is what we need to fill your order and reach you about it. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

What we collect, and why

When you place an order, our order form collects:

  • Your name — so we know whose order it is at pickup.
  • Your email address — so we can confirm your order in writing.
  • Your phone number — so we can reach you if there is a question about your order, or if the crop changes what we can supply.
  • What you ordered, and the pickup date and time you chose.
  • Anything you choose to write in the notes field.

We ask for both an email address and a phone number because an order with only one contact route can fail silently. That is the whole reason we rebuilt this form.

If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the message itself, and use them only to reply.

There are no accounts on this site, no newsletter, and no advertising or analytics tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other websites.

Consent

Submitting the order form or the contact form is your consent for us to use that information to handle your order or answer your question. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any order we still have to fill and any records we are required to keep. Withdrawing consent for an order in progress may mean we cannot complete it.

Who else sees it

Running the website and sending order confirmations means a small number of service providers handle information on our behalf. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • Our web host and form software store your order in this website's database.
  • Brevo delivers our order confirmation emails. To send you one, it handles your email address.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a spam script. It sees your IP address and basic details about your browser when you submit a form. It does not track you across websites.
  • Pages showing a map load it from Google Maps, which means Google receives your IP address when that part of the page loads.
  • Videos on this site do not load from YouTube until you click play. Until then YouTube receives nothing. Once you click, YouTube handles the request under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of the country it is held in. We otherwise disclose personal information only where the law requires it.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies it may set are the functional ones the website software needs — for example, to keep a form from being submitted twice, or to keep you logged in if you are a farm staff member editing the site.

How long we keep it

We keep order records only as long as we have a reason to: to fill the order, to answer a question about it afterwards, and to keep the business records we are required to keep. Once a record is no longer needed for any of those, we delete it. If you would like your details removed sooner, ask us and we will do it, as long as we are not still filling your order or required to keep the record.

How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection, order records are reachable only by farm staff with a password-protected login, and access is limited to the people who need it to fill orders.

Seeing or correcting your information

Under PIPA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it, and who we have given it to. You can also ask us to correct it if it is wrong. We will respond within 30 days.

Using this site

You are welcome to browse the site, place an order, and get in touch. Please do not use it to send us spam or fraudulent orders, attempt to break into it or disrupt it, or copy its content for commercial use without asking us first.

Our content

The text, photographs, logo and design on this site belong to Blueberry Junction unless stated otherwise. You may share and link to our pages. You may not republish our photographs or copy substantial parts of the site elsewhere without our permission.

Prices, hours and availability change

We keep this site current, but we farm a crop that does not read a calendar. Prices, opening hours, U-Pick availability and what we have in stock can change, sometimes at short notice. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a particular product is available on a particular day. If something matters to your trip, call us first.

Where we link to another website, we are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices.

Limits

This site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, or from information on it being out of date. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under British Columbia consumer protection law, or our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply in it. We may update them from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows the last revision.

Ordering & Pickup Terms

These terms apply to orders placed through the order form on this site. British Columbia's consumer protection law treats an order placed online for goods you have not seen as a distance sales contract, and requires us to set out the following before you order.

Who you are ordering from

What you are ordering

Fresh and frozen blueberries, grown on our farm, sold in fixed box sizes. Every box size, its weight and its price is listed on our Products & Pricing page, and the price of each size is shown beside it on the order form as you order.

Price and payment

  • Prices are in Canadian dollars.
  • The price you see is the price you pay. Fresh and frozen blueberries are basic groceries, so no GST is added.
  • There are no delivery charges, shipping costs, customs duties or brokerage fees — every order is picked up at the farm.
  • You pay when you pick up your order, not when you place it. We take cash at the farm. If you would rather pay another way, call us before you come and we will let you know what we can take.
  • There is no credit, no financing, no subscription and no automatic renewal. An order is a one-time purchase.

When your order is confirmed

Submitting the form places a request, not a finished contract. We confirm it by email, and that confirmation is what forms the agreement. Orders need at least 24 hours of notice.

Occasionally the crop means we cannot fill an order as placed. If that happens we will contact you to adjust it or cancel it, at no cost to you.

Pickup

Orders are picked up at the farm, 28473 Huntingdon Rd Abbotsford, BC, on the date and time you chose when ordering. Pickup times are offered only for days and hours we are open.

Please come at the time you booked. Blueberries are perishable and we pack orders fresh for the slot you chose.

Changing, cancelling and refunds

To change or cancel an order, call or email us before your pickup time — the sooner the better, since we pack to order.

There is no charge for changing or cancelling an order, because you have not paid for it yet. If you cannot make your pickup time, let us know and we will move it to another day if we can.

Blueberries do not keep, so an order nobody collects and nobody has been in touch about may be sold to someone else at the end of that pickup day. Since you pay at pickup, that costs you nothing — but please call us rather than leave us guessing.

If something is wrong with your berries, tell us and we will put it right, whether that means replacing them or refunding what you paid. We would much rather hear about it than not.

These terms do not take away any right you have under British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, including your right to cancel a distance sales contract in the circumstances that Act sets out.

U-Pick

U-Pick is walk-in and is not ordered through this site, so these ordering terms do not apply to it. You pay for what you pick, at the farm, on the day.

Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone. It is built to be read with a keyboard or a screen reader, to keep text legible against its background, and to work at any window or phone size. Videos load only when you ask for them, so nothing plays at you unprompted.
